Over 10,000 Taiwan Isoetes Restored at Dream Lake !

Taiwan Isoetes is a species endemic to Taiwan, with its native habitat found at Yangmingshan’s Dream Lake. This species has recently faced a crisis from invasive aquatic plants. In the spring of 2006, academics and conservation groups started to restore Taiwan Isoetes. They removed invasive aquatic plants so that there would be space for Taiwan Isoetes to grow. After six months of effort, more than 10,000 Taiwan Isoetes were successfully restored at the Dream Lake protected area.
