Stranded Young Whale Looked Back Constantly After Rescue
A dwarf sperm whale accidentally got into the oyster cultivation area near Sihu Township's Boziliao harbour on October 7. After the ebb tide, the whale was found by some oyster farmers, stranded on the shoals at the gate of death. The Offshore Flotilla 42 immediately tried to rescue it, borrowing a fishing raft to release it back into the upper ocean. The young whale revived and looked back while swimming away as if it were expressing its appreciation for the rescue.
