The first snow on Yushan (Mt. Jade) main peak that fell at dawn of the 22nd melted the day after and attracted visitors. The snow accumulated to 4 cm deep but decreased to 2 cm by noon. Yushan might have more snow as temperatures fall. Located at a height of 3,850 meters in the north peak, the Yushan Weather Station, under the Central Weather Bureau provides updated broadcast in the region for mountain lovers.
