Strengthen patrols against poach hunting in Taroko
Poachers prey on Taroko National Park’s abundant wildlife thanks to careful conservation and leave 2,000 hunting traps a year. As the hunting season peaks with winter, the Taroko National Park Administration Office has organized patrols to stop poaching. Rangers and Taroko National Park police have collected about 2,000 hunting traps annually in recent 3 years, but caught few poachers, according to the Conservation Section personnel in Taroko.
