Please conserve water, keep our mountain parks clean and mind your safety!
The Yushan National Park Management Office would announces that the dry season has led to lower temperatures in the region and greater ice formation. This has resulted in a severe water shortage, affecting the supply chain. The Tataka recreation area is already experiencing shortages. The Office asks tourists to use water in moderation so there is sufficient supply for public toilets and to maintain park cleanliness.
The Office also calls upon tourists to beware of slippage on icy automobile roads and hiking trails in the Park, especially those over 2,000 meters in elevation such as on the central Tataka region and Southern Tianchiyakou Region. Safety first!
