Invitation to the Yushan Alpine Wildflower Season

From April, the alpine wildflower season of Yushan National Park is about to come. After spring, the warmth of summer brings another bloom of alpine flowers, beginning with the blossom of rhododendron species in May. After that, other wildflowers, such as Lilium longiflorum var. formosanum, Leucanthemum vulgare, the Gentian genus, Adenophora morrisonensis spp. morrisonensis, Dianthus pygmaeus, Polygonum cuspidatum and Senecio morrisonensis, present endless resplendent colors until the end of September. You can simply drive to Tataka, Meishan or Tianchih, or hike to areas such as Guangao or Siouguping to visit these lovely plants. In addition, Yushan National Park’s mountains offer excellent vantage points from which to view the natural surroundings, awe-inspiring sunrises, contemplative seas of clouds and the green of trees and vegetation as far as the eye can see. Yushan National Park Headquarters reminds you that this season is also a rainy season, and temperature may be low in mountain areas. Before heading to the mountains, please check weather and road conditions in advance, and remember to bring enough cloth.
