Busy with preparations for the official opening of the Shei-Chien Recreation Area, the Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters organized a training program on environmental education on 27 October for its 30 voluntary guides.
Shei-Chien Recreation Area is located on the west side of the Shei-Pa National Park in the Mei-Yuan Village, the rear mountain area of Tai-An Township, Miao-Li county. With an elevation of 1,870 meters, it is an idea place to enjoy the magnificent mountain view of the Shei-Chien Holy Ridgeline. It is also home to a number of different species of animals. Walking on the paths in the forest, you will be greeted from time to time by small animals. Visitors to the forest will enjoy the fresh air among the huge trees. It is an ideal place for an ecological tour.
To further familiarize the volunteers with the environment of the Shei-Chien Recreation Area, Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters have organized ten sessions of training activities for the volunteer guides during the period of February to August this year. During the training process, the volunteers designed total 50 activities for natural environmental education, of which 12 activities have been selected by the Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters for the drill to be held in the Shei-Chien Recreation Area on 27 October. The activities will be used to help the tourists better experience and enjoy the natural environment of the Shei-Pa Recreation Area.
For more than ten years, the volunteer guides of the Shei-Pa National Park have been leaders in the promotion of environmental education and ecological conservation. They have provided diversified guiding services and impressive experience for countless tourists, and significantly contributed to the promotion of correct concepts on the protection of national parks.
Taking this opportunity, we wish to remind you that the Shei-Pa Recreation Area is not yet officially opened.
