Kenting National Park Headquarters’  “LNT trainer training course”successfully completed

The LNT motivation (Leave No Trace) has been promoted in Europe and North America for many years and was once introduced into Taiwan by mountaineering and conservation circles. However, lacking systematic promotion, its results were limited. In recent years, in response to growing conservation consciousness, the government has designated the promotion of the LNT concept as one of its important work items. Consequently, Kenting National Park Headquarters held a LNT trainer training course on the east coast of the Park from March 16 to 17, 2008, with the aim of effectively promoting the LNT concept.

The course included “LNT environmental ethics,” “LNT’s seven environmental protection principles,” and “LNT course teaching skills” units. 19 new LNT seed trainers were nurtured in this course and it is hoped they will spread the Park’s intention of cherishing nature and protecting the land.

After two days and one night of countryside training, trainees gave the course a thumbs-up and had confidence that they will be able to pass on this new concept to other lovers of outdoor activities so that the beautiful environment is always with us and the next lover of outdoor activities can enjoy the same unspoiled natural beauty as the one before.
