Construction and Planning Agency (CPA), Ministry of the Interior sign the “Beauty of Taiwan’s National Parks” international promotion cooperation plan

The Construction and Planning Agency (CPA), Ministry of the Interior, signed the “Beauty of Taiwan’s National Parks(台灣國家公園之美)” international promotion cooperation plan with National Geographic Channel(國家地理頻道) on April 2, 2008. In this highly-significant ceremony the agreement was signed by CPA director, Mr. Charles Chin-rong Lin (營建署林欽榮署長),  and Senior Vice-president of National Geographic Channel Asia, Mr. Avinash Himatsinghani (國家地理頻道亞洲區資深副總裁喜雅輝先生), and will result in the beauty of Taiwan being displayed to the whole world.

Taiwan’s national parks have rich bio-diversity and can be described as a window on the world’s ecology, being very important in terms of global ecology conservation and, moreover, well-worth sharing with nature-lovers the world over.  Director Lin expressed his delight at the cooperation between the CPA and internationally-renowned National Geographic Channel that will introduce the national parks of Taiwan to a potential audience of 270 million in 167 countries in Chinese (Taiwan), Japanese (Japan area), Korean (Korean area) and English (other areas).
