Turning cultural and creative products into everyday-use items

Using art to raise the public’s nature conservation literacy level, turning cultural and creative products into everyday-use items

The “2008 Shei-pa National Park:Taiwan image—Formosan landlocked salmon  (Oncorhynchus masou formosanus 櫻花鉤吻鮭) and Shei-pa scenery art creativity series of activities” is the first time Shei-pa National Park HQ has invited artists in various fields in Taiwan to use their creativity to echo the natural environment and display the beauty of the diverse natural scenery of the park and the value of its unique species through their work.

It is also hoped that the design of cultural and creative items with added value in this series of activities will, through various environmental education and creative product channels, continue to promote environmental conservation work and disseminate the results of conservation work. Creative products designed this time include: a “green” bag, tattoo stickers, document folder, t-shirts and artistic postcards, ten products in all. It is hoped that these practically-useful green products with artistic design will help raise the public’s conservation awareness.
