Adopting Shei-pa National Park mountain trails, let’s all protect the high mountain natural environment together

Shei-Pa National Park is a typical high-mountain national park, the various mountain trails in which, like Mt. Syue (雪山) and Wuling Quadruple Mountains (武陵四秀), have become very popular mountain walking routes.Shei-pa National Park HQ director Lin Ching (林青處長)said the park HQ is actively promoting the maintenance of mountain trails in the park and seeking improve the results of the government-promoted “clean home” environmental protection movement. In addition to the signing of contracts by “Taichung County Society For Mountain Climbing”(臺中縣登山會) and “Yilan County Alpine Association”(宜蘭縣山岳協會) to Mt. Syue (雪山) and Wuling Quadruple Mountains (武陵四秀) mountain trails, this year the reopened “Da Jian and Siao Jian mountain trails” (大、小劍線)have also been adopted by “Taichung Evergreen Mountain Climbing Association”(臺中市長青登山協會). It is hoped the mountain areas that are adopted and maintained by private groups will be expanded in the future.
The park HQ hopes to expand cooperation with nature and mountain lovers in the future, encouraging and stimulating spontaneous mountain cleaning activities, putting the eco- mountain climbing spirit into practice and advocating that the public engage in eco-mountain climbing, protecting the natural environment.
