The Beauty of Taiwan──lakes, ocean, mountains and forests special exhibition
The third quarter special exhibition The Beauty of Taiwan──lakes, ocean, mountains and forests opened on July 8 in Yushan Art Gallery in Yushan National Park’s Shueili Visitor Center. The park HQ said that the aim of the exhibition is to strengthen ecological education, interpretation and public information work, add diversity to the visitor center’s special exhibition area and to use the eyes and hands of renowned Taiwanese artists to convey the message that ecological conservation is a permanent endeavor.
The park HQ pointed out that this exhibition will feature oil paintings by Lin Yong-hsiang who hopes, through his painting of the maintains and rivers, to promote the message that “beautiful island”-Taiwan should be protected from reckless damage and the mountains and forests allowed to exist forever. The center of this exhibition is 25 fine paintings of Taiwan’s mountains and hills, rivers and lakes and forests, all of high value for collecting or appreciating. The exhibition runs for three months from July 8 to October 8. Members of the public, school groups and friends of Yushan are invited to enjoy this cultural feast.
