Hualien County Fine Art Association “Taroko Charm” Art Exhibition
From July 5 to September 28, Hualien County Fine Art Association(花蓮縣美術協會) is holding the “Taroko Charm” art exhibition in the special exhibition room of Taroko National Park HQ’s Visitor Center. The works of art on display include ink and wash paintings, oil paintings, calligraphy, pressed flowers, wood carvings and stone carvings.
The diverse faces of Taroko will be revealed in full in this exhibition, including the majesty of Swallow Grotto(Yanzihkou燕子口), the charm of Taroko Gorge, Taroko in spring, the spring warmth and autumn charm of Mt. Hehuan, Shakadang Trail(砂卡礑步道), the magnificence of Cihmu Bridge (慈母橋), breathtaking Cingshui Cliffs(清水斷崖), the splendor of the Central Cross-Island Highway, Changchun Shrine(長春祠Eternal Spring Shrine), where the sound of the falling spring can be always be heard., and Lyushui Trail (綠水步道) in spring. The works of art show the charm and grace of Taroko.
Hualien County Fine Arts Association President, Ms Lin Hsiu-ju, said that the aim of this exhibition is to give the Taiwan public an opportunity to admire fine works of art by local artists and, by holding the exhibition in Taroko, Taiwan’s premier tourist spot, to allow the works of art to be admired by visitors from around the world alongside the marvelous Taroko scenery.
