CPA Director Charles C.R. Lin to retire.

CPA Director Charles C.R. Lin to retire. He is to replaced by deputy director general of the ABRI, Yeh Shi-wen

Minister for the Interior Liao Liao-yi has announced that CPA Director Charles C.R. Lin has applied to retire for reasons relating to his career plans. Director Lin was originally an assistant professor in the Department of Humanities, National Chiao Tung University. On August 1 2007 he was appointed temporary director of the CPA. He will return to teach at National Chiao Tung University on August 1, 2008, in time for the new academic year. He will be replaced by deputy director general of the Architecture and Building Research Institute, MOI, Yang Shi-wen.

Yeh Shi-wen gradated from the Department of Statistics, Fengjia University and received a Masters degree in Public Administration from the College of Management, National Taiwan University.  He passed the provincial government’s examination for B grade examination statisticians in 1973.From July, 1972 to the present time he has been a civil servant for 36 years, in that time working as a Taiwan Provincial Government section staff member, subsection manager, inspector, MOI inspector, director of Yushan National Park, director of Yangmingshan National Park, MOI senior secretary,  director of Taroko National Park, CPA section chief and senior specialist and ABRI secretary and deputy director general. He is both highly qualified and highly experienced. Minister Liao said the vacancy is being filled by an internal promotion from within the MOI to take advantage of the skill and creativity that Yeh has nurtured in many years of service for the MOI.
