“Taiwan’s National Parks—Global bio-diversity window” international short film promotion plan.

Filming of the films that are part of the “Beauty of Taiwan’s national parks—international promotion cooperation plan” signed by the CPA, MOI and National Geographic channel on April 2, 2008 has been completed. From September, the four 45-second films will be shown in 140 countries in Asia, Australasia, Europe and Africa in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean.

Following the Executive Yuan’s policy of promoting links with the international community, and with global warming serious and environment protection being given importance today, the CPA specially selected Taiwan’s national parks as the main subject of its international promotional work and, with innovative “ecological sustainability, global linkage” thinking cooperated with globally-renowned TV channel National Geographic. The short films position Taiwan as a global bio-diversity window, showing the rich eco-tourism resources of Taiwan’s seven national parks, hoping to attract lovers of eco-tourism to visit Taiwan’s national parks and displaying Taiwan’s concrete ecological and land conservation achievements to the world.
