National park director adjustment aims for park HQ conservation and management results improvement
To widen the work experience of national park directors, make full use of their professional knowledge and skills, following a “use talent in the right place” principle, after evaluation of the characteristics and requirements of each national park and following the principle of internal promotion, the directors of six national parks have been adjusted. The joint handover ceremony for park directors was held on September 1 in the CPA, MOI. The aim is, through increasing work exchange between parks, to improve conservation and management results. The CPA, MOI Director gave the following advice and encouragement to park directors:
- Form good partnership relations with the aborigines and residents within the parks. Modesty should be shown in the face of nature and even more with respect to aborigines and residents in the parks.
- Take good care of national park headquarters staff because national parks are one big family
- A practical approach should be taken to park management. The park’s resources should be inspected first-hand and the existing management strategy challenged.
- Building a green life is not just about life habits, park management strategy should also aim to reduce energy use and carbon emissions and this should be a central aim of future park management.
