Taroko National Park chosen as Taiwan’s No.1 tourist-friendly spot

In the recently announced Tourism Bureau, MOTC and Global Views Monthly Magazine tourist-friendly city/county ratings, Taroko National Park, representing Hualian County, was first overall in the natural scenery category tourism and, in the same category, also won first place for environmental cleanliness. It is fair to describe Taroko National Park as the most tourist-friendly place in Taiwan.

The director of Taroko National Park HQ, Hsu Wen-long, said people visit tourist spots to relax, however, if the area is insufficiently tourist-friendly they constantly have to worry that they will get lost because the signs are unclear or have to use poor quality facilities, making them unable to properly relax and perhaps their visit will leave them more stressed. Taroko National Park HQ works, on the one hand, to maintain the completeness of the natural environment and, on the other, also seeks to provide the highest quality service to visitors. With conservation as the precondition, Taroko National Park HQ thinks from the angle of the visitor and, to the best of its ability, provides clear directions, safe facilities, a clean environment, clear information and friendly staff, giving visitors friendly and helpful service while they enjoy the beautiful park scenery.
