The exhibition incorporates spatial arrangement and installation art to present the mysterious stream, riverbed, schools of Formosan landlocked salmon, and how they swim against the stream back to their birthplace.

Shei-Pa Director Chen Mao-chun noted that Tang was graduated from Fu-Hsin Trade and Arts School and incidentally devoted himself to the world of ceramic art that was then popular in Miaoli, his hometown. In regard to his creation, Tang emphasizes not only the perfect design of but also the practical value of his works. By observing his realistically created pieces, visitors can feel how exquisitely the artist makes use of the pottery features to model natural species in life.

With a view to further understand the ecology of Formosan landlocked salmon, Tang has been to its habitat, Cijiawan River, for many times. The impressive vitality of the salmon inspires the artist deeply that he demonstrates the beauty of the salmon ecology without reservation.
