Mt. Syue climbing routes reopened
The area around Sanlioujiou Cabin (369 Cabin) on the way to Mt. Syue’s main peak was closed after being hit by a forest fire at 6pm, on December 18, 2008.The fire was dealt with by related bodies and the examination of the fire site has been completed and Mt.Syue climbing routes have now been reopened, except for Shengling Trail (Holy Ridge Trail) 聖稜線 West Syue Trail 雪山西陵線 and Daba Peaks Trail 大霸群峰線. Visitors should note that Sanlioujiou Cabin’s (369 Cabin) water pipe was destroyed in the fire and it is also now the dry season so they should carry a sufficient amount of water with them.
Also, when climbing or passing through burned land near Sanlioujiou Cabin (369 Cabin), please stick to the trail to ensure safety. The mountain snow season has arrived so extra care should be taken when engaging in any activity in the mountains.
