In addition to its high mountain gorge scenery and ecology, another special feature of Taroko Gorge is the culture of the Taroko tribe, one of Taiwan’s indigenous peoples, a culture that is much-loved by visitors and was molded over hundreds of years by the Liwu River and the mountains of Taroko.
