Let’s all take care of beautiful and cool Mt. Hehuan
The daytime temperature on beautiful Mt. Hehuan in summer is 15-20℃ making it a great place to escape from the stifling summer heat of the plains.
Many people were concerned about the illegal stalls occupying space in the car parks at Wuling and Kunyang and creating a substantial amount of refuse that was both unsightly and polluted the environment. After energetic work by the national park and the local police to close down these stalls, the sight of large numbers of such illegal stalls in the Mt.Hehuan area is now a thing of the past. Also, in 2005 the national park headquarters established a legal temporary shop at Kunyang, aiming to thoroughly eliminate the problem of illegal stalls while meeting the needs of visitors and protect the local environment and scenery.
At present illegal stalls have almost completely disappeared from Mt. Hehuan. Efforts to close down the remaining illegal stalls are continuing, showing the determination of the national park and related bodies to solve the problem once and for all. To support this effort, members of the public are requested not to buy from illegal stalls and to take their refuse down the mountain to reduce the burden on the fragile environment. It is hoped that everyone’s efforts will keep Mt.Hehuan clean and lovely.
