Kenting National Park HQ recruits talented people from Manjhou to promote eco-tourism and community landscape building
To promote eco-tourism and community landscape building Kenting National Park has recruited Manjhou natives and university graduates Fan Gao-zhi and Chen Hong-cheng to provide service to visitors at Manjhou Service Station(滿州服務站) and Mt.Nanren Service Station(南仁山管理站). Park Director Lin Qing said “About 70% of Manjhou rural township is in Kenting National Park and it has ecological resources and beautiful scenery making it very suitable for the development of eco-tourism. In recent years local interpreters have been trained and assistance given with community landscape building. Recruiting local people is intended to attract young people back to their birthplace, revitalize local culture and allow life wisdom to be passed on.” The chief of the rural township Xiong Shi-fan said “ I am proud to see students I taught in the past willing to return to serve in their place of birth when they graduate from university. I hope they can contribute their skills and help Manjhou develop.”
