Combining ecology and art –“Across Taroko” touring exhibition will be shown in Taroko Visitor Center until September 29

Taroko National Park’s steep-walled high mountain gorge and the changing climate through the four seasons create richly diverse scenery that provides inspiration to many artists. Artists from eight painting associations that are members of the ROC Painting Society selected 137 fine work s from the numerous works painted and sent in by the public and they will be shown in an exhibition “Across Taroko” that will tour Taiwan and China. Taroko Visitor Center is the first venue. The exhibition opened on July 1 in Taroko Park Visitor Center and will show until September 29. Members of the public are welcome to view the exhibition.

A national park spokesperson said that the spectacular and beautiful scenery of Taroko moves many people and artists transform their thoughts and feelings about nature and culture into works of art. Through the painting exhibition the park headquarters aims to convey beauty and guide people so they get closer to, appreciate and cherish nature.
