Kenting National Park will hold the “East Coast Walk” activity
In order to increase the public’s understanding of the natural environment and conservation and allow people to experience how it feels being on the southern tip of Taiwan facing the vast ocean, Kenting National Park Headquarters will hold the “East Coast Walk” activity from 1 pm to 6 pm on September 26 (Saturday). The number of participants is limited to 30. Interested people should register with the park’s Interpretation & Education Section on 886-8-8861321 ext. 250~259
As part of efforts to protect the precious coastal resources and provide a good quality leisure experience to visitors, participants will be introduced to the coral reefs and the coastal plants of the coast at Fengchuisha (Wind-blown Sand) ,enjoy the magnificent views where the turbulent ocean melts into the blue sky at the southern tip of Taiwan. Participants will also clean up some of the floating refuse along the east coast together and spread the conservation message.
Participants can take a public bus from the park headquarters to the venue. The activity involves three stages:an indoor lecture, ecological interpretation and beach cleaning. Each person will be given a Kenting cute animal conservation static cling sticker.
