2009 Yangmingshan “Historic Trail Autumn Silver grass tour”

The volcanic terrain of Yangmingshan National Park and the effect of the annual northeast monsoon winds have created a unique cultural landscape and rich natural resources. Also, the changing landscape of the park through the four seasons attracts numerous lovers of the outdoors and photographers who go to admire and photograph it.

When the silver grass (Miscanthus sinensis) flowers in autumn, “Fish Road Historic Trail(魚路古道)” and “Qingtiangang meadow (Cingtiangang Grassland擎天崗草原)” are excellent places to view it. Take some time out you’re your hectic work schedule and, guided by an interpreter, come and hear the symphony played by the green forest, the mountain waterfalls, the silver grass and the wind and listen attentively to the story of the ancient trail past and present. The activity will be held on October 10, 17, 24 and 31. The registration fee is NT$500 per person, with a limit of 50 on participants each time. For more information enquire on 886(02)2861-6341 ext. 800,801.
