Gorge Tenderness—2009 Taroko Music Festival will be held on November 28, giving you a whole day of good music
2009 Taroko Gorge Music Festival will be held on Taroko Terrace on November 28, the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of Taroko National Park. Bands, aboriginal dancers and singers and choruses will take it in turns to perform and will present a day of good music for you to enjoy. This major event on Taiwan’s musical calendar should not be missed.
A park spokesperson said that the Liwu River cut through the marble over millions of years to form Taroko Gorge. The water seems soft but, over time, it has immeasurable power. Music has tremendous power like the water of the river, an infectious power that gives people spiritual peace and comfort. The aim of the festival is to give musicians and members of the public the chance to enjoy playing and listening to music in a beautiful natural setting and admire the gorge in all its glory accompanied by fine music.
