The media has recently discussed preventing canine distemper from spreading to national parks. Clause 3 of Article 10 of Yangmingshan National Park’s rules for entering eco-reserves states:No animals or plants (including pets) should be taken in. Visitors are asked to respect this rule to protect the ecological environment and wild animal health.
In addition to eco-reserves, pets are also prohibited from entering Tianxi Eco-Education Center. The national park headquarters said taking pets into the national park should be avoided whenever possible and, if they are taken into the national park they should be kept on a lead and controlled.
