In July 2009 Yushan National Park Headquarters received a photograph of Yushan taken from Penghu. This gave park staff the idea to organize an activity in which the public would take photographs of Yushan from all over Taiwan and then the complete collection of digital images would be shown in an exhibition to remind people how precious Yushan is and also give them an opportunity to cast a vote for Taiwan in the New Seven Wonders of the World competition. The exhibition is now being held in Exhibition Hall 2 in Taizhong Metropolitan Park until June 30. The aim is to show people various different views of the mountain and introduce them to the beauty of Taiwan’s national parks. Visitors are very welcome. The exhibition venue has a box in which people can deposit their vote for Yushan for the New Seven Wonders of the World competition. A vote can also be cast on-line.
