Yushan National Park Park and Mountain Entry Permit Application Forms Combined
Most of Yushan National Park’s ecological protected areas are in restricted mountain areas and most of the park’s main climbing routes pass through both protected areas and restricted mountain areas which means that visitors wanting to engage in climbing activities have had to apply for a mountain entry permit and a park entry permit. To make the application process easier, from May 1 the park has introduced a “single window” for park and mountain permit applications, eliminating the need for visitors to go to a police station to apply for a mountain entry permit.
From May 1, to make applications simpler and reduce carbon emissions, the national park headquarters and the Yushan National Park Police Corps will combine “mountain and park entry application forms” on a trial basis. The application form has been simplified, allowing people who want to enter a protected area to complete a “park and mountain entry permit application form” and then receive both a park entry and a mountain entry permit. “Mountain and park entry permit application forms” can be downloaded from Yushan National Park website.
