Following recent heavy rain in the Xuejian(Syuejian) area the Simaxian Forest Road has been hit by landslides between the 6.1 and 9.7 kilometer point and has been closed. Shei-pa National Park Headquarters will carry out emergency repairs when the weather improves. It is estimated that around seven working days will be needed. The park headquarters calls on visitors to Xuejian to travel via Dongshi or Zhuolan. However, it should be noted that between Xiangbi and Da-an rock shed construction is taking place on this route and the road is subject to traffic controls from 8 am to 5 m every day. Traffic is allowed to pass for ten minutes only every hour.
