An exhibition being held in Taroko Visitor Center to celebrate first anniversary of completion of the “Seven peaks” by a team from Taiwan
On May 19, 2009 Huang Zhi-hao, a member of the seven peaks team from Taiwan, reached the summit of Everest, signaling that the highest peak on all seven continents had been reached by the team. The precious images captured by the team during their expedition and some of the equipment they use are currently on display in Taroko National Park’s Visitor Center.
The team collected a host of information and the items on display are only the highlights. Information about the seven peaks is provided in the form of maps, text and images. The film record of the climb, the boots they wore, crampons and gloves and the helmet camera used to record the climbs are also on display. The exhibition will run until September 5.
