Yushan National Park Headquarters invited the chairman and director of Italy’s Adamello Brenta Nature Park, Dr. Antonello Zulberti and Dr. Claudio Ferrari, to visit in August for exchange. At 9 am on August 9 a cooperation agreement between the two parks was signed at the park HQ in Shuili, after which a seminar was held during which representatives from the Italian park introduced it, giving the audience a better understanding of this nature park located in western Italy.

On August 10, accompanied by the director of Yushan National Park, the Italian visitors visited to Construction and Planning Agency director Yeh Shi-wen. Dr. Antonello Zulberti personally invited him to visit Italy for exchange. This case of park-park exchange not only gave the two foreign visitors an understanding of Taiwan’s ecological features and conservation success, the professionalism and enthusiasm of the national park’s staff left the Italians with a deep impression. This Taiwan-Italy national park exchange can be called a successful case of “conservation diplomacy.”
