“Everlasting Moments” Selected for the International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg. The director to show the film 50 times in villages, school and communities this year

"Everlasting Moments," a film produced with the guidance of Shei-pa National Park Headquarters is the first feature film in the world made entirely in Atayal and Pangcah languages. In the film, a dialogue between an Atayal spirit from ancient times and a modern member of the tribe is used to show the unique culture understanding and values of Taiwan's indigenous people with regards to nature, the land and tradition, and it contains valuable less for modern mainstream society. Director Chen Wen-bin will take the film on a tour of Taiwan, showing it in aborigine villages communities and schools and to art and cultural groups, and 50 showings are planned before year end. The aim is to use an alternative marketing method, taking a film out of the theaters and making it accessible to ordinary people to allow a dialogue with more people to be held.

The film has been selected for the 59th International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg. Chen Wen-bin will take the film in November to represent Taiwan in competition and take the opportunity to introduce the moving story of Taiwan's indigenous peoples to the people of Germany and Europe.
