Love and protect the earth by taking rubbish down the mountain
Yushan is very popular with domestic and international climbers. A few years ago the national park headquarters cleared up a large amount of rubbish from around Paiyun Lodge and in nearby ravines. As more rubbish has accumulated over the years and it does not decompose, Yushan National Park Headquarters is launching a mountain cleaning activity that will allow climbers to show how much they care about Yushan and protecting the natural environment by collecting rubbish.
Rotary International district 3460 Taichung Dongyou Rotary Club and Yushan National Park have together donated environmentally friendly rubbish bags. These can be received from Paiyun Station. Anyone who collects more than two kilograms of rubbish can exchange it for a set of Yushan postcards at the station. The national park headquarters called on visitors to act to show their love for the mountains, helping keep the earth clean for future generations.
