According to the sunrise times announced by the Central Weather Bureau on July 30, Orchid Island will see Taiwan’s first sun light of the new year at 6.33 am. Orchid Island will have an important role in the series of national centenary celebrations, with Dongsha Marine National Park Headquarters, Taidong County Government and Orchid Island township office jointly organizing the “Orchid Island New Year Party and Welcoming the First Sunlight of the Centenary of the ROC.”

Registration is open from November 18 to noon on December 6.A registration form must be completed by prospective participants.
