Taroko National Park Headquarters invited the Highway Bureau, Hualian County Police, Taroko Police Corps, Xiulin and Xincheng township offices, the township representative councils and village chiefs to a coordination meeting held on November 24 to discuss arrangements for the 2011 Chinese New Year free park shuttle bus to be laid on by the park headquarters, aiming to provide a help make visits to the park in the Chinese New Year period stress-free and happy. The Chinese New Year Holiday will last for six days in 2011. With traffic controls in place on the Central Cross-island Highway during this period, From February 4 to 6 at least 70 coaches a day will carry visitors to and from and around the national park free of charge. The pick-up pint will be Xincheng Railway Station and the service will operate 7am-2pm.
