Yushan Painting Exhibition held to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the founding of Yushan National Park
It is 26 years since Yushan National Park was established on April 10, 1985 and, since then, great achievements have been made with respect to ecological conservation, environmental education and recreation services. In 2009 Yushan was a contender in the “Seven new wonders” competition and, supported by the people of Taiwan, in the end it made the final 28 contenders, reaching the final stage. It is hoped that with the continued support from the public, Taiwan will win more glory on the international stage. Also, in order to improve the service to climbers, Paiyun Lodge is currently being rebuilt and it is estimated that work will be completed this year. This is another example of the “innovation” “thoughtfulness”, “diligence” and “care” that are central to all the park HQ’s public service work.
In addition to related activities, to carry out environmental education and strengthen the ecological conservation awareness of the people of Taiwan, for three months from now until July 9 the “Painting Yushan-Xu Juying Toyo” exhibition will be held in Yushan National Park Headquarters’ Shuili Visitor Center.A park spokesperson pointed out that the exhibition will feature 33 fine works by 27 renowned artists and winning works from a high school painting competition by students from Yunlin. Whether towering Yushan is majestic and imposing or colorful and beautiful in the works of the artists, it never fails resonate with the viewer.
After 26 years of painstaking efforts by all involved with Yushan National Park, from now on, on the foundation already laid, continuing progress will be pursued, with “Ecological Yushan”, “Safe Yushan”, “Sacred Mountain of Taiwan” and “Internationally famous mountain” as the four visions, pursuing the objective of preserving the ecology of Yushan forever.
