Mountaineering in the Twilight of Fall, Experience the Beauty of Nature

Set foot in the mountains and let the crisp sounds of the birds reach your ears. Feel the warm breeze on your face. By the lotus pond, quietly look up at the changing clouds in the sky and try to search for the traces of animals that have retreated in the far recesses of the mountain. When humans go mountaineering and enjoy the beauty of the mountains, have they ever wondered how big of an impact they have on the land the moment they step into it? Or perhaps like a first-timer, do they feel completely daunted and confused by the techniques of mountaineering? Located in Taroko National Park, the National Park Mountaineering School has organized a mountaineering training course, providing a different way of conquering the mountain for those who wish for a more personal experience with nature. Through the exploration of nature, participants will be able to look at this land from a different perspective and also learn the basics of mountaineering—such as ration planning, packing bags, using stoves and learning and applying the spirit of LNT from the point of view of the animals. The event has invited a group of teachers from the Outdoor Leadership Center to educate, lead, share and play games on reflective skills with the participants.
