Ecological Documentary Published By Kenting National Park Wins 3 Awards from International Wildlife Film Festival
“The Moonlight Coast—Kenting’s Land Crabs’ Journey Through Life”, anecological documentary produced by the Kenting National Park Headquarters in2011, won the “Honorary Award for Motion Picture Art”, “Best Educational Value”and “Best Environmental Conservation” at the 35th InternationalWildlife Film Festival in Montana, U.S.A. The coral reef ecosystem and lushgreen coastal environment of the Kenting National Park is an ideal habitat andhatchery for land crabs. Currently, there are over 30 types of coastal landcrabs recorded in the park, and if looked at from the same unit area, the parkcan be said to possess the highest diversity of this species in the worldDirected by Hong-Long Hsu, this award-winning film takes viewers on themagnificent life journey of the land crabs and documents the distribution status,feeding and breeding habits, as well as the impact of human activity.
