Kenting National Park and National Kaohsiung Marine University have signed a cooperation alliance agreement on the mutual use of manpower, resources, territories and other administrative resources to promote ecological environment education, marine leisure and recreation and marine environmental safety education and research. Through the cooperation alliance agreement between both parties, use of resources, talent cultivation, product-industry cooperation, promotion of education and various interactions and cooperation can be further enhanced and strengthened.

The section manager of the Kenting National Park expressed: Once the agreement is signed, efforts will be made towards the mutual cooperation between both parties. The current laws on marine recreational activities are copious. There needs to be a set of complete and systematic set of laws that covers various aspects and possesses unenforceable characteristics that will allow for constrain and management for proper safety management. For this reason, aside from the "Management Plan of Kenting National Park's Marine Area Recreational Activities," in terms of marine recreational safety, the park will launch the first "Guiding Principles on Diving", allowing diving and snorkeling activities to proceed in a more orderly manner under a marine environment.
