As of Dec. 6, 2011, the first national park of Taiwan, "Shoushan National Park", has been included within the national park system to be protected. In the future, this establishment will be further promoted in succession in other areas. An open selection was held for this year's design competition in hopes of garnering a range of multi-oriented perspectives and opinions in the design of a national park logo that indicates the historical trajectory of the national park heritage. Moreover, we hope to establish a futuristic visual image system to display the natural ecosystem, cultural history and the meaning and value of this era for "national parks."

From today until June 4, the "National Park Identification Logo Design Competition" will enter the online voting stage. The Construction and Planning Agency Ministry of Interior and Shoushan National Park invite the public to actively participate in choosing the national park identification logo for a chance to win prizes in the lucky draw.
