The National Parks Police Corps prohibits any aquatic activities that cross over into the swimming zones or the resource protected zones
To protect the safety of the tourists who enjoy their recreation activities in the waters of the Kenting National Park and to improve service quality, the Kenting National Park Headquarters follows the Regulations Governing Water Recreation Activities, promulgated by the Tourism Bureau and implements the Management Planning of the Water Recreational Activities of the Kenting National Park to legally and reasonably manage the water recreational activities at the Park.
The director of the KNPH states that the designated zones for jet ski activities are the areas of water formed by drawing a straight line from the Cape of Eluanbi to Maobitou, and the areas around the Baisha Beach. The limit is 300ms off shore and should not exceed 1 km.
Trainers for jet skis should obtain qualifications certificates on Jet Ski Safety Training Education issued by the KNPH and have it on hand for inspection. The KNPH will report any violators and each misconduct or acts of violation may be fined up to $NT3000. KNPH will collect evidences and report on any violation behaviors, such as jet ski crossing into the swimming zones or protected areas, which may lead to the certificates being revoked.
