Six private organizations sign agreements with Taroko National Park Headquarters to adopt ten trails.

Taroko National Park Headquarters promotes private participation through the trail adoption program. A total of six private organizations have signed agreements to adopt ten trails in the park. In addition to the five original adopting organizations, the Hualian Branch of Taiwan Power Company joined in the cause this year. The agreement signing ceremony was hosted by Mr. Tseng Wei-Hong, Director of Taroko National Park Headquarters. In the ceremony, he expressed his thanks to the adopting organizations for their enthusiastic participation from 2010 to 2012. The ceremony was successfully closed after Taroko National Park Headquarters awarded the certification of thanks to the participating organizations. Taroko National Park Headquarters has promoted the trail adoption program for several years. Through the adoption, private organizations encourage their employees to participate in outdoor activities and the maintenance works. Most of the organizations adopting the trails this year have been long-term partners to Taroko National Park. Tiensiang Youth Activity Center has been a long-term adopter for the Lushui Trail; this year, this organization added the newly opened Baiyang trail to its care program. Taroko National Park Headquarters expressed their deepest appreciation to the enthusiastic support from the participating organizations.
