Less rainfall andcooler temperature, the autumn climate is stable in Taiwan, making it a perfect seasonfor hiking. During this season, leaves are turning from green to red and theever-changing clouds and mists are fascinating. There are seven hiking trailsin Shei-Pa National Park. To provide betterservices and a safer environment, Shei-Pa National Park Headquarters haslaunched several long-term plans to improve the facilities, including the lodgehouses and direction signs. In 2012, we have completed the repair projects forthe leaking roofs at the Taoshan and Xinda Lodge along the Wuling Sixiu trailline. We are currently building a brand new lodge at the original site of theBanan Lodge. By the end of the year, the lodge will be ready for visitors to theShengling Trail. For the most challenging trail, the Xueshan West Ridge Trail, installationof direction signs will be completed by the end of December, and new signs areexpected to reduce the occurrence of lost tourists.
