Director of Chen Mao-Chun, Director of Kinmen National Park Hedquarters indicated that the successful conquest of the Best Director Award for the film "The Quest" in the 2012 Golden Bell Awards has put Kinmen in the spotlight again after the film was nominated and won in the 34th Golden Harvest Awards (work of excellence), the 45th Houston Film Festival (platinum award), the 2012 National Publication Awards (work of excellence), the Taipei Film Festival, and the 2012 Golden Melody Awards (best original soundtrack and album cover design). Director Tang Cheng-Yu successfully utilized various film languages to present the romantic and poetic nature of a journey to the discovery of cultural roots. Kinmen is home to numerous overseas Chinese and a witness to Taiwan's migrant history.
