With continuous efforts over the past decades, national parks in Taiwan have successfully preserved a great number of the most essential parts of nature, ecology, culture, and history in Taiwan. In order to sustain the lifeline of national park resources in Taiwan, the Construction and Planning Agency, the Ministry of the Interior, launched in 2008 the National Park Heritage Digital Archiving Project. Today, more than 3,000 items have been digitally archived, and the interviews with 69 important figures were digitized and archived in the Taiwan National Park Digital Archives website in 2009. In fact, the artifact inventory and digital archiving work will continue. According to Construction and Planning Agency, in order to enhance the visibility of the Taiwan National Park Digital Archives website and improve the national park understanding of the public, the prize event "Hold Time and Spread Heritage" begins now, and netizens who like national parks are welcome to sign up.
