World Earth Day: Adults Working with Children at Shei-Pa Volunteers Plant Seedlings of Hope
In recognition of World Earth Day, Shei-Pa National Park recruited volunteers and approximately 70 She-Pa Facebook fans and on-site tourists responded. Registration was at the Erbensong Explanation Station on April 13, 2013. The volunteers planted 70 apple seedlings on their Taiwan apple ecology eco-working holiday, showing their concern for the environment with concrete actions.
The eco-working holiday is a trend that has arisen in recent years of doing ecological conservation volunteer work on holidays. We encourage the public to do some sort of volunteer work on their holidays and give back to the environment. Getting in touch with nature is also relaxing and makes for a great way to spend the day.
By actually working and planting a seedling in the forest, participants have experienced harmony between man and nature firsthand through this afforestation effort.
