Yushan National Park Headquarters is hosting a photography contest in the hopes of encouraging the public to go outside and experience nature's beauty. The event aims to promote Yushan National Park's natural landscape, cultural trails, and biodiversity and through this, conservation.

The contest is scheduled to start on August 1, 2013 and ends on September 30. The public is encouraged to visit Yushan National Park and photograph the natural landscapes and cultural monuments. Whether if you attend a Yushan National Park event or not, Yushan National Park Headquarters cordially welcomes you to experience Yushan's natural beauty and awaits your unique perspective on this mountain, Yushan.

The contest is divided into three themes: landscapes, animals and plant ecology, and cultural or others. A gold, silver and bronze prize will be awarded to the winners in each theme. The grand prize is NT$30,000 or a prize of equivalent value and an award certificate. There will be 36 Excellent and Admirable prizes given out regardless of theme, with prize money of NT$5,000 and NT$3,000 respectively and an award certificate each.
