Kenting National Park Headquarters Hosts "Dive into the @cean" Event
In accordance with the National Parks Week series of events, the Kenting National Park Headquarters will be hosting the "National Parks Week-Dive into the @cean" event on May 22, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.. It is hoped that the event will help demonstrate the current state of the ocean through different perspectives by showing a film on the marine ecosystem and actually going out onto the ocean.
The event is mainly targeted at fifth and sixth grade elementary students and teachers (unified school registration) in the Kenting National Park lands, Checheng Township, Hengchun Township and Manchu Township. Ten participants from the general public are allowed. Children must be at least 11 years old and must be accompanied by a parent. We hope that the understanding of the ocean and marine conservation taught to local students will lead to them conveying the message of conservation to their family and friends, and they might even become marine conservation ambassadors to spread the message of conservation to the many public visitors to Kenting.
