This year, the Kenting National Park Headquarters will be hosting the Little Tour Guides Summer Camp. The camp will last three days and two nights and will give participants a chance to experience Kenting National Park's local landscape and seascape up close and personal, as well as gain deeper insights into local historical monuments, conservation efforts, and flora and fauna. The camp also aims to give children who do not live near the Hengchun Peninsula an opportunity to experience Kenting's unique "southern island charm" through various eco-tours organized both during the day and at night. After receiving special training and passing a "Show Your Skills" test, each child will receive a certificate of completion and "Little Tour Guide Credentials" confirming their status as a member of the Kenting National Park's Little Tour Guides. Children are then invited to return every winter and summer break to have exchanges with local students and help introduce the beauty of the land with other visitors.

The Little Tour Guides Summer Camp will be held from August 5 to 7, 2013. Fifteen students will be chosen, as well as five disadvantaged children. Registration is open from now till July 24.
